A User Journey
WeavEast, as a geographically dispersed network, was founded on face-to-face convenings yet acknowledged the need for other ways to connect. Olusegun Osunrinde, who was hired as a Communications Coordinator for the network and had recently completed a Master’s degree in technology entrepreneurship and innovation, took on this challenge.
Olu prepared a case study of how Wayside developed which depicts some of the ways WeavEast was intentionally and critically part of the development.
“Insights from the WeavEast fellowship revealed the need to connect changemakers across Atlantic Canada for the purpose of finding their way into shared practice, learning from each other and providing support for what’s working well and for what’s challenging the ecosystem.”

Wayside is available for weavers to use. It has the ability to host courses (with progress indicators and automatic certificate); to serve as a discussion space, synchronous or asynchronous; to host documents; and more.
